Data Collection

Sprint Coach 40 collects workout data including sprint times, distances, heart rate, and performance metrics. The app uses the following device capabilities to provide real-time performance tracking during your training sessions:

Data Storage

Your workout data is stored locally on your device and synced to your paired Apple Watch. Workout data may also be saved to Apple Health if you grant permission. Sprint Coach 40 does not operate its own external servers or cloud services. All workout data remains on your devices unless you choose to use the Share Performance feature.

Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties. All your workout data remains private on your devices. The Share Performance feature generates an image that you choose to share — no data is transmitted automatically. HealthKit data is only accessed and written with your explicit permission and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy controls.

Location Access

Sprint Coach 40 requests location access (NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription and NSLocationAlwaysAndWhenInUseUsageDescription) to measure sprint distances and speeds using GPS. Location is accessed during active workouts, including when the screen is off or the app is in the background. Your location data is used solely for workout measurement and is not stored on external servers or shared with third parties.

HealthKit Access

Sprint Coach 40 requests HealthKit access (NSHealthShareUsageDescription and NSHealthUpdateUsageDescription) to read your heart rate during workouts and to save workout sessions to Apple Health. This access is optional — you can decline and the app will still function for basic sprint timing. HealthKit data is processed on-device and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy controls.

Motion Sensor Access

Sprint Coach 40 requests access to motion sensors (NSMotionUsageDescription) to detect sprint starts, measure acceleration, and provide biomechanical analysis. Motion data is processed on-device in real-time and is not stored or transmitted externally.

Bluetooth Access

Sprint Coach 40 uses Bluetooth (NSBluetoothAlwaysUsageDescription) to communicate with your Apple Watch for workout data sync and to connect to external heart rate monitors. Bluetooth is only active during workout sessions.

Notifications

Sprint Coach 40 uses local notifications for workout reminders, rest timers, and performance updates. These notifications are processed entirely on-device and are not sent from any server.

Background Audio

Sprint Coach 40 may use background audio to provide voice prompts and cues during workouts. Audio is played locally on your device and no audio is recorded or transmitted.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by going to Settings > Danger Zone > Reset All Data. This permanently removes all workouts, profile information, and settings from your device. HealthKit data can be managed through Apple's Health app settings.

Subscription and Trial

Sprint Coach 40 Pro offers a 14-day free trial. If you do not subscribe after the trial, you will continue to have access to free features including basic sprint timing and workout history. Pro features such as advanced analytics, biomechanics, and export will be locked. Your workout data is never deleted when the trial expires. Subscribing to Sprint Coach 40 Pro gives you access to advanced features but does not change our data collection or privacy practices.

Children's Privacy

Sprint Coach 40 is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. All data collected is workout and performance information entered or generated during training sessions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy at any time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
